Regular Season Round 8: BSEU-GrandPrint - Vitebsk 85-87

The most exciting game of round 8 in the Premier League took place in Minsk. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 5th ranked BSEU-GrandPrint (2-4) to fourth ranked Vitebsk (4-4) 87-85 in the game for the fourth place. BSEU-GrandPrint was trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 25-22 charge of Vitebsk, which allowed them to win the game. They made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Anton Vashkevich (204-94) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds and point guard Ivan Aladko (192-95) who added 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Power forward Vitaliy Lebedev (200-99) responded with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 12 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and point guard Dmitriy Roslikau (183-95) scored 24 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Five Vitebsk and four BSEU-GrandPrint players scored in double figures. BSEU-GrandPrint's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Vitebsk have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 4-4 record. BSEU-GrandPrint at the other side keeps the fifth place with four games lost. They share the position with Impuls BGUIR. Vitebsk are looking forward to face league's second-placed Grodno-93 on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. BSEU-GrandPrint will play against the league's leader COR-Borisfen and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
