Regular Season Round 9: Estudiantes B - Quintanar 68-65

There was an upset in Madrid where higher ranked Quintanar (5-3) was edged by fourteenth ranked Estudiantes B (2-7) 68-65 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 25-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was point guard Juan Llorente (180-93) who scored 39 points (!!!). Guard Diego Gonzalez (188-96) chipped in 12 points and 9 assists. Estudiantes B's coach Javier Zamora used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American Michael Murray (196-91, college: Coppin St.) who recorded 18 points and 8 rebounds and Cuban point guard Taylor Garcia (182-87) added 19 points respectively. Estudiantes B maintains fourteenth place in Group B with 2-7 record. Loser Quintanar dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. Estudiantes B will face higher ranked Torrelodones (#12) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
