Regular Season Round 12: SAP Vaucluse - CFBB 54-50

Date: November 19, 2016
Bottom-ranked CFBB is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their 12th consecutive match to fifteenth ranked SAP Vaucluse (5-7) 54-50. It looked good early as CFBB took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then SAP Vaucluse had a 15-11 second period charge getting the lead and CFBB was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 50-54. SAP Vaucluse shot 21 for 30 from the free-throw line, while CFBB only scored four points from the stripe. SAP Vaucluse forced 20 CFBB turnovers. CFBB was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Mali power forward Cheick Soumaoro (204-90) who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 6 rebounds and American point guard Deremy Geiger (180-90, college: Idaho, agency: Blacktop Management) who added 9 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Ivan Fevrier (200-99) with 23 points and 6 rebounds and guard Theo Maledon (191-1) scored 10 points. CFBB's coach Jean-Aime Toupane rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. SAP Vaucluse moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with 3 other teams. CFBB at the other side still closes the standings with 12 games lost. SAP Vaucluse will play against Gries/Oberhoffen (#17) in Bischwiller in the next round where they are favorite. CFBB will play at home against Saint Vallier and hopes to get finally their first victory.
