Regular Season Round 15: Chiba Jets - Akita NH 82-71

Rather predictable result when third ranked Chiba Jets (8-7) defeated at home 6th ranked Akita Happinets (3-12) 82-71 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 82-71. It was a great evening for international power forward Ryumo Ono (197-88) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points. Guard Kosuke Ishii (182-87) helped adding 13 points. The best for the losing side was guard Seiya Ando (184-92) with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Ryosuke Shirahama (190-91) scored 18 points. Four Akita Happinets players scored in double figures. Akita Happinets' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Chiba Jets have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 8-7 record having just three points less than leader Tochigi Brex, which they share with Niigata Albirex and Ryukyu GK. Loser Akita Happinets keep the sixth position with 12 games lost. Chiba Jets will face again Akita Happinets (#6) at home in the next round.
