The game in Willebroek supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked Oostende (6-3) played at the court of 6th ranked Kangoeroes (4-4). Oostende smashed Kangoeroes 90-68 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Kangoeroes. Oostende made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. Serbian center Rasko Katic (208-80, agency: BeoBasket) stepped up and scored 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and international forward Jean Salumu (193-90) chipped in 18 points. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Randy Oveneke (200-86) with 15 points and American forward Terrance Henry (206-89, college: Mississippi) scored 10 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Oostende have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Aalstar. Loser Kangoeroes keep the sixth position with four games lost. Oostende will meet Belfius Mons-Hainaut (#5) in the next round. Kangoeroes will play against the league's leader Antwerp Giants and hope to secure a win.
