Top-ranked Shanghai Dahua faced 4th ranked Beijing Great Wall. Host Shanghai Dahua (2-0) defeated guests from Beijing (0-3) 76-71. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Beijing Great Wall. American forward Breanna Stewart (193-94, college: Connecticut) notched a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and center Zhangzhi Ting (193-95) supported her with 12 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Shanghai Dahua players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds by American center Sylvia Fowles (198-85, college: LSU) did not help to save the game for Beijing Great Wall. International forward Ting Shao (183-89) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the guests. Shanghai Dahua keeps a position of Group A leader, which they share with Henan. Defending champion Beijing Great Wall still closes the standings with three games lost. Shanghai Dahua's next round opponent will be Guangdong Dolphins (#5) in Guangzhou.
