Regular Season Round 10: Palma - Burgos 62-57

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 10th ranked Burgos' (4-6) road loss to ninth ranked Palma (6-4) in S'Arenal 57-62 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 5 points after three quarters before their 22-12 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Palma dominated on the defensive end, holding Burgos to just 7 points in third quarter. It was a very good performance for power forward Roger Fornas (202-82) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Carles Bivia (189-85) contributed with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Serbian center Goran Huskic (210-92, college: Howard Col., TX) replied with 8 points and 9 rebounds and guard Alejandro Lopez (189-91) added 7 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Burgos. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Palma moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Ourense. Burgos lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with six games lost. Palma will face Caceres Basket (#14) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Burgos will play against Araberri (#6) and hope to win that game.
