Undefeated leader PuHu Juniorit delivered the eighth consecutive victory. This time they beat 9th ranked HNMKY U23 (3-6) 99-92 in Helsinki. HNMKY U23 was ahead by 4 points after three quarters before a 31-20 charge of PuHu Juniorit, which allowed them to win the game. 25 personal fouls committed by HNMKY U23 helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by American power forward Brian Moultrie (198-87, college: Armstr.Atlantic) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 42 points (!!!), 20 rebounds and 4 blocks and guard Oscar Lindqvist (188-90) supported him with 12 points and 8 rebounds. Even 22 points by center Otso Laakkonen (198-93) did not help to save the game for HNMKY U23. Guard Tuure Takala (185-93) added 16 points for the hosts. Four HNMKY U23 players scored in double figures. HNMKY U23's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. PuHu Juniorit maintains first position in Division with 8-0 record. HNMKY U23 at the other side dropped to the eleventh place with six games lost. PuHu Juniorit's next round opponent will be Karkkila (#10) at home and are hoping to win another game. HNMKY U23 will play against Korikouvot in Kouvola and hope to win that game.
