The game in Aichi was also quite interesting. Tokyo Cinq R. (3-1) played at the court of Aisin AW (3-2). Tokyo Cinq R. did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 95-77 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Tokyo Cinq R.. Aisin AW managed to win second period 23-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Aisin AW 44-28 including 32 on the defensive glass. American power forward Eric Anderson (204-93, college: New Haven, agency: Duran International) had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Kodai Takahashi (180-91) chipped in 18 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) during the contest. Five Tokyo Cinq R. players scored in double figures. Tokyo Cinq R.'s coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Fujita Shunsuke (187-93) responded with 27 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and point guard Watanabe Takumi (181-89) scored 8 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Tokyo Cinq R.'s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tokyo Tokyo Big Blue.
