Regular Season Round 9: Beikong FD - Guangsha L. 108-128

Very predictable result in Beijing where third ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (8-1) smashed 17th ranked North Control (2-7) 128-108. The game was mostly controlled by Zhejiang Guangsha Lions. North Control was better in fourth quarter 32-30. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions made 22-of-26 charity shots (84.6 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 North Control turnovers. 25 personal fouls committed by North Control helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American point guard Courtney Fortson (180-88, college: Arkansas, agency: Three Eye Sports) who led his team to a victory with 39 points (!!!), 7 assists and 5 steals. His fellow American import power forward Elijah Holman (208-89, college: Detroit Mercy, agency: Pensack Sports) contributed with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Five Zhejiang Guangsha Lions players scored in double figures. American point guard Errick McCollum (185-88, college: Goshen) answered with a double-double by scoring 48 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds and Uruguayan-Spanish power forward Esteban Batista (208-83, agency: Duran International) added 13 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for North Control. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Shanghai S. North Control lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth place with seven games lost. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions' next round opponent will be Shanxi Zhongyu (#13) in Taiyuan which should be another easy win for them. North Control will play at home against Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
