An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Shimane. Third ranked Shimane Magic faced second-ranked Dragonflies. Host Shimane Magic (11-5) smashed guests from Hiroshima (12-4) 73-53. The game was mostly controlled by Shimane Magic. Dragonflies was better in third quarter 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American forward Josh Davis (203-91, college: San Diego St.) nailed a double-double by scoring 19 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side and his fellow American import center Wayne Marshall (211-86, college: Temple) accounted for 12 points and 13 rebounds. Shimane Magic's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Connor Lammert (206-94, college: Texas) came up with 16 points and guard Seiya Tanaka (186-91) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Dragonflies in the defeat. Shimane Magic maintains third place with 11-5 record having just two points less than leader Kumamoto V. Dragonflies at the other side still keep top position with four games lost. Shimane Magic's next round opponent will be Kagawa FA (#5) in Takamatsu. Dragonflies will play at home against Kagoshima (#6) and hope to win that game.
