Regular Season Round 9: Castellbisbal - Salt 82-63

Rather expected game when 10th ranked Salt (2-5) was rolled over on the road by seventh ranked Castellbisbal (5-3) 82-63 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 15-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 82-63. Castellbisbal dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Salt's 18. Castellbisbal had a 31-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was guard Felix Lopez (190-85) who scored 23 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Marc Manes (196-86) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Four Castellbisbal players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Genis Bover (201-91) who recorded 18 points and 6 rebounds and forward Adria Burguet (193-91) added 7 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Castellbisbal moved-up to fourth place in Group C-A, which they share with Cornella. Loser Salt dropped to the eleventh position with five games lost. Castellbisbal will face league's leader Martorell on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Salt will play against Mataro (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
