Very expected game in Ciudad Victoria where 10th ranked Correcaminos (2-10) were defeated by fifth ranked Garzas (6-5) 91-85. American forward Tyrone White (201-90, college: CSU Bakersfield) orchestrated the victory by scoring 32 points and 7 rebounds. His fellow American import Wayne Chism (206-87, college: Tennessee) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Four Garzas players scored in double figures. American forward Kennedy Jones (, college: Arlington Baptist) answered with 44 points (!!!) and Canadian forward Grandy Glaze (204, college: Grand Canyon) added 16 points and 17 rebounds in the effort for Correcaminos. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Garzas. They moved-up to fourth place. Correcaminos lost their sixth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Garzas' next round opponent will be Soles (#6) in Mexicali. Correcaminos will play on the road against Ciudad (#9) in Ciudad Juarez and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
