Regular Season Round 9: Sevilla - UCAM Murcia 77-103

An interesting game took place in Sevilla where higher ranked Sevilla (3-5) was upset on its own court by fifteenth ranked UCAM Murcia (3-6) 103-77. The game was mostly controlled by UCAM Murcia. Sevilla was better in third quarter 31-27. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Sevilla to just 3 points in second quarter. UCAM Murcia shot 66.1 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three nailing 17 long-distance shots on high 58.6 percentage. It was a good game for Argentinian point guard Facundo Campazzo (181-91) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 assists. American point guard Billy Baron (187-90, college: Canisius) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Five UCAM Murcia players scored in double figures. Canadian point guard Kenny Chery (180-92, college: Baylor) answered with 13 points and 4 assists and Marc Garcia (198-96) added 17 points in the effort for Sevilla. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. UCAM Murcia moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Joventut and CAI Zaragoza. Sevilla at the other side keeps the tenth position with five games lost. UCAM Murcia's next round opponent will be Blusens Monbus (#16) in Santoago de Comp.
