Regular Season Round 7: Bnei Hertzeliyya - Maccabi K/G 79-64

Very expected game in Hod Hasharon where 12th ranked Maccabi K/G (2-5) was defeated by eighth ranked Bnei Hasharon (4-3) 79-64. The game was mostly controlled by Bnei Hasharon. Maccabi K/G was better in second period 24-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Bnei Hasharon made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Maccabi K/G's players. It was a very good performance for American forward Jeff Adrien (201-86, college: Connecticut) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. International forward Karam Mashour (198-91, college: Morehead St.) contributed with 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American swingman Justin Carter (193-87, college: Creighton, agency: Pensack Sports) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import forward James Singleton (203-81, college: Murray St., agency: Interperformances) added 10 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Maccabi K/G. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Bnei Hasharon moved-up to third place, which they share with Hapoel T-A and Maccabi Rishon. Maccabi K/G at the other side stay at the bottom position with five games lost. Bnei Hasharon's next round opponent will be Galil Gilboa (#7) in Rosh Pina. Maccabi K/G will play on the road against the league's leader Maccabi T-A (#1) in Tel-Aviv and hope to win that game.
