There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked Brescia (3-5) beat higher ranked Openjobmetis VA (3-5) in Varese 74-68. Openjobmetis VA was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. The best player for the winners was naturalized American forward Christian Burns (203-85, college: Philadelphia) who scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. American guard Lee Moore (193-95, college: UTEP) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. Four Brescia players scored in double figures. American point guard Eric Maynor (191-87, college: VCU) produced 9 points and 5 assists and American-Nigerian power forward O.D.
