Rather expected game in Nagoya where 9th ranked Hitachi Cougars (2-12) were crushed by sixth ranked Mitsubishi K. (11-3) 68-44 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 41-15 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Mitsubishi K. dominated on the defensive end, holding Hitachi Cougars to just 6 points in third quarter. They held Hitachi Cougars to an opponent 23.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 39.3 percent accuracy of the winners.
