There was an upset in Rio Gallegos where higher ranked Ferrocarril (10-7) was edged by tenth ranked Hispano Am. (4-12) 77-75 on Monday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Point guard Jonatan Treise (185-85) scored 15 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Kyle Austin (203-88, college: Cal-Riverside, agency: SPORTlab Agency) chipped in 8 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was international point guard Franco Balbi (185-89) with 14 points and 7 rebounds and American-Puerto Rican Ramon Clemente (200-85, college: Wichita St.) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Four Hispano Am. and five Ferrocarril players scored in double figures. Hispano Am. moved-up to ninth place in Sur. Loser Ferrocarril keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. Hispano Am. will face higher ranked Argentino (#7) in Junin in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
