Regular Season Round 7: Kapshagay - Barsy-2 84-76

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Kapshagay (6-1) beat at home 5th ranked Barsy-2 (3-3) 84-76 on Tuesday. Kapshagay dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Barsy-2's 40. Kapshagay forced 22 Barsy-2 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. 32 personal fouls committed by Barsy-2 helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a very good performance for point guard Daniil Seleznev (186-90) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Valentin Rogatkin (196-88) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winners. Four Kapshagay players scored in double figures. Forward Artem Parfenov (196-98) answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and forward Ilyas Nagimov (201-99) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Barsy-2. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kapshagay keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Almat.Legion and Tobol. Loser Barsy-2 keeps the fifth place with three games lost. They share the position with Bars. Kapshagay is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Kaspiy-2 (#10) in Aktau in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Barsy-2 will play on the road against Kazygurt (#4) in Shymkent and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
