Regular Season Round 12: Rocamora - Gimnasia LP 68-77

There was a small surprise when sixth ranked Gimnasia LP (3-7) won against on the road one of their biggest challengers Rocamora (6-5) 77-68 on Tuesday. Gimnasia LP had a 28-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for power forward Lisandro Villa (198-87) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Forward Maximiliano Segon (200-91) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Center Leandro Podesta (207-89) replied with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Uruguayan guard Facundo Medina (190-94) added 10 points in the effort for Rocamora. Rocamora's coach Cristian Santander rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Gimnasia LP moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Rocamora keeps the fourth position with five games lost. Gimnasia LP will face La Union (#7) in Colon in the next round.
