Not a big story in a game when 6th ranked VEF skola (1-8) was outplayed on the road by second ranked Jelgava (7-2) 87-65 on Tuesday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. The best player for the winners was swingman Edgars Krumins (194-86) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 15 rebounds and 8 assists. Forward Andris Justovics (200-89) chipped in 20 points. Niks Jansons (200-98) produced 23 points and 7 rebounds and guard Nikolajs Zotovs (182-98) added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Four VEF skola players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
