Very important is a home loss of second ranked Hapoel Kfar Saba (5-2) against seventh ranked Ironi Kiryat Ata (4-3) on Tuesday night. Host Hapoel Kfar Saba was defeated by Ironi Kiryat Ata in Kfar Saba 96-82. Ironi Kiryat Ata players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Noam Matalon (197-87) who helped to win the game recording 35 points (!!!). American swingman Sir'Dominic Pointer (198-92, college: St.John's) contributed with 24 points, 9 rebounds and 5 blocks for the winners. American guard Denzel Livingston (193-93, college: Incarnate Word) answered with 18 points and 7 rebounds and forward Eitan Rotemberg (197-91) added 18 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Hapoel Kfar Saba. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ironi Kiryat Ata have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with 4 other teams. Hapoel Kfar Saba at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. Ironi Kiryat Ata will play against Hapoel Migd.H. (#4) in Tarshicha in the next round. Hapoel Kfar Saba will play on the road against Galil Elion in Kazrin and hopes to get back on the winning track.
