Second Stage Round 15: Guangdong - Shanghai 62-65

A very interesting game took place in Guangzhou. It ended with only three-point home defeat of bottom-ranked Guangdong Dolphins (0-2) to leader Shanghai Dahua (3-0) 65-62 on Tuesday evening. The best player for the winners was American forward Breanna Stewart (193-94, college: Connecticut) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 14 rebounds. The former international forward Jing Huang (183-85) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds. Four Shanghai Dahua players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Belarusian center Yelena Leuchanka (196-83, college: W.Virginia) who recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and 16 rebounds and international forward Sijing Huang (192-96) added 18 points respectively. Shanghai Dahua have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of Group A leader. Guangdong Dolphins at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost. Shanghai Dahua's next round opponent will be Shanxi Rui Flame (#4) in Taiyuan. Guangdong Dolphins will play on the road against Henan in Jiyuan and hope to get finally their first victory.
