The game in Svit was also quite interesting. Third ranked Levice (8-3) played at the court of 5th ranked Iskra Svit (7-5). Levice managed to secure a 9-point victory 84-75 on Wednesday. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Iskra Svit. They outrebounded Iskra Svit 42-24 including a 35-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Levice looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Josh Nofflet (194-88, college: Lee) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import guard Jarvis Summers (190-93, college: Mississippi) who added 16 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. Four Levice players scored in double figures. Levice's coach Teo Hojc allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American point guard Evan Singletary (185-94, college: Albany) with 16 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals and Croatian forward Sasa Jankovic (204-84) scored 23 points. Levice moved-up to second place, which they share with Kosice. Loser Iskra Svit keeps the fifth position with five games lost. Levice will meet at home bottom-ranked Nova Ves (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Iskra Svit will play against Prievidza (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
