Bottom-ranked Shiraz a.s Pipe (0-5) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 95-46 loss to sixth ranked Tabriz (3-2) in Tabriz. The game without a history. Tabriz led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Shiraz a.s Pipe's 24. Tabriz's coach Mehran Hatami felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Amir Allahverdi came up with 16 points and 5 rebounds and Saman Taherpour (203-91) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Shiraz a.s Pipe in the defeat. Tabriz moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Arak. Shiraz a.s Pipe lost their fifth game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with five games lost. Tabriz's next round opponent will be higher ranked Azad (#3) in Tehran and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
