Regular Season Round 7: Lille - Bourg 70-69

Important game to mention about took place in Lille. Sixth ranked Lille Metropole (5-2) saved a 1-point victory at home edging much higher ranked JL Bourg (4-3) 70-69 on Friday evening. It was a key game for the second position in the league. JL Bourg was ahead by 7 points after three quarters before a 19-11 charge of Lille Metropole, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 19 JL Bourg turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward DeQuan Jones (203-90, college: Miami, FL) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds. Danish Kevin Larsen (207-93, college: G.Washington) contributed with 14 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. American point guard Garrett Sim (188-90, college: Oregon) answered with 8 points and 11 assists and Senegalese center Youssou Ndoye (213-91, college: St.Bonaventure) added 11 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for JL Bourg. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Lille Metropole moved-up to second place, which they share with 4 other teams. JL Bourg at the other side dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. They share it with Nantes and Vichy Clermont. Lille Metropole will play against league's leader Provence Basket in Fos-sur-Mer in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. JL Bourg will play at home against SPO Rouen (#18) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
