Regular Season Round 3: Fukuoka Rizing - Aisin AW 91-53

Fukuoka Rizing (6-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed Aisin AW (3-4) 91-53. The game without a history. Fukuoka Rizing led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Aisin AW to just 7 points in first quarter. Fukuoka Rizing dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Aisin AW's 28. They outrebounded Aisin AW 44-22 including a 31-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Fukuoka Rizing players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Aisin AW's players. It was a great evening for American forward Josh Peppers (201-85, college: Cent.Florida) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Ghanian-British forward Matthew Bryan-Amaning (205-88, college: Washington) helped adding 15 points. Fukuoka Rizing's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was point guard Kei Kato (172-93) with 13 points and 5 rebounds and center Keisuke Umetsu (196-86) scored 15 points and 5 steals. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Fukuoka Rizing will play against Tokyo HT on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Aisin AW's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Aichi Toyoda Gosei.
