We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Dublin where 9th ranked DCU Saints (2-6) were defeated by tenth ranked Belfast Star (2-5) 82-78. Strangely DCU Saints outrebounded Belfast Star 50-25 including a 25-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. American forward Dillon Stith (200, college: St.Vincent) orchestrated the victory by scoring 28 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. International forward Keelan Cairns (211-92, college: Pennsylvania) contributed with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. International center Martins Provizors (202-87) replied with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 22 rebounds and 5 assists (on 12-of-13 shooting from the field) and Latvian forward Arkadijs Makarenko (194) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for DCU Saints. Belfast Star moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Moycullen. DCU Saints lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with six games lost. Belfast Star's next round opponent will be Eanna (#9) in Dublin. DCU Saints will play on the road against KUBS in Greendale and hope to win that game.
