Regular Season Round 10: Easo - Valle de Egues 66-55

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Valle de Egues (3-5) lost to fourth ranked Easo (6-2) in San Sebastian 55-66 on Saturday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Easo dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Valle de Egues' 24. Easo forced 25 Valle de Egues turnovers. It was a very good performance for point guard Inigo Del Valle (188-87) who helped to win the game recording 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Xabier Beraza (195-99) contributed with 9 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Javier Valderrey replied with 13 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Pablo Yarnoz (194-96) added 10 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Valle de Egues. Four Valle de Egues players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Easo have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in Group A-A, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Valle de Egues dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. Easo will face Univ.Burgos (#13) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Valle de Egues will play against TAKE Tolosa (#14) and hope to win that game.
