Regular Season Round 16: Tinguiririca S.F. - CDU Concepcion 74-78

The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked Universidad de Concepcion's (6-6) road victory over 9th ranked Tinguiririca S.F. (4-15) 78-74. They outrebounded Tinguiririca S.F. 46-34 including 36 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by American center Paul Harrison (203-89, college: N.Greenville) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 27 points and 21 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) and forward Diego Silva (186-93) supported him with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Universidad de Concepcion's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even a double-double of 37 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 7 assists by Argentinian power forward Juan Luis Abeiro (196-88) did not help to save the game for Tinguiririca S.F.. Guard Michael Ernst (187-82) added 12 points for lost side. Universidad de Concepcion have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place. Tinguiririca S.F. lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with 15 games lost. Universidad de Concepcion's next round opponent will be Puente Alto (#8) on the road. Tinguiririca S.F. will play against Espanol de Talca and hope to win that game.
