Regular Season Round 18: Cyberdyne IR - Gunma 60-70

An interesting game for Gunma (13-4) which played road game in Tsukuba against 3rd ranked Cyberdyne IR (9-8). First ranked Gunma managed to get a 10-point victory 70-60. The game was mostly controlled by Gunma. Cyberdyne IR was better in third quarter 18-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Cyberdyne IR 46-34 including 32 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Nigerian forward Abdullahi Kuso (206-84, college: Tallahassee CC) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points, 17 rebounds and 5 blocks. Guard Shota Kurihara (187-93) chipped in 12 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota) who recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Logan Stutz (205-88, college: Washburn) added 8 points respectively. Cyberdyne IR's coach tested eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Gunma maintains first position with 13-4 record, which they share with Hiroshima D. and Nishinomiya S. Cyberdyne IR at the other side keeps the third place with eight games lost. Gunma will have a break next round. Cyberdyne IR will play again at home against the league's leader Gunma and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
