Regular Season Round 19: Argentino - Hispano Am. 81-68

Rather expected game in Junin where 9th ranked Hispano Am. (4-13) was defeated by seventh ranked Argentino (8-9) 81-68. The game was mostly controlled by Argentino. Hispano Am. was better in third quarter 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Novar Gadson (201-89, college: Rider, agency: DTMones) who led the winners and scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Swingman Emiliano Basabe (193-92) accounted for 11 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. Four Argentino players scored in double figures. American forward Kyle Austin (203-88, college: Cal-Riverside, agency: SPORTlab Agency) came up with 17 points and 7 rebounds and the former international swingman Mariano Byro (194-82) added 14 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Hispano Am. in the defeat. Hispano Am.'s coach Bernardo Murphy tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Argentino moved-up to fifth place in Sur, which they share with Obras Basket and Penarol. Newly promoted Hispano Am. keeps the ninth position with 13 games lost. Argentino's next round opponent will be Boca Juniors (#9) in Buenos Aires. Hispano Am. will play on the road against Obras Basket in Buenos Aires and hope to win that game.
