Regular Season Round 10: Le Portel - Monaco 62-66

Leader Monaco delivered the ninth victory. This time they beat 16th ranked Le Portel (3-7) 66-62. Le Portel was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 27-21 second half run of Monaco. Strangely Le Portel outrebounded Monaco 35-23 including 23 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Bosnian guard Zack Wright (191-85, college: Central Mo.) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 8 assists. American center John Bryant (210-87, college: Santa Clara) contributed with 12 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Monaco's coach Zvezdan Mitrovic allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American point guard Darrin Dorsey (188-87, college: Dakota Wesleyan) replied with 18 points and his fellow American import center Jakim Donaldson (204-83, college: Edinboro) added 15 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Le Portel. Four Le Portel players scored in double figures. Monaco have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-1 record. Le Portel at the other side keeps the sixteenth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Antibes. Monaco will play against Paris-Levallois (#5) at home in the next round. Le Portel will play against Cholet Basket (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
