Regular Season Round 9: USE Basket - Siena Virtus 74-47

Rather expected game when 9th ranked Siena Virtus (4-5) were smashed by seventh ranked USE Basket (6-3) in Empoli 74-47 on Saturday. USE Basket outrebounded Siena Virtus 49-28 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for power forward Michele Bei (200-90) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Power forward Daniele Sesoldi (195-92) contributed with 12 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four USE Basket players scored in double figures. Guard Ferdinando Nasello (194-95) answered with 12 points and power forward Gabriele Mirone (205-92, agency: SPORTlab Agency) added 6 points in the effort for Siena Virtus. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. USE Basket moved-up to fourth place in B, which they share with Cento and Crema. Newly promoted Siena Virtus keep the ninth position with five games lost. USE Basket will face Bottegone (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Siena Virtus will play against Oleggio (#13) and hope to win that game.
