Regular Season Round 6: KKL - Taiwan Beer 58-75

Very significant was Taiwan Beer's (#6) 17-point victory against 6th ranked KKL 75-58. Taiwan Beer had a 34-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. American center Bryan Davis (206-86, college: Texas A&M) notched a double-double by scoring 14 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and international Po-Hsun Chou (197-91) supported him with 9 points and 10 rebounds. Even a double-double of 30 points and 20 rebounds by American forward Eugene Phelps (198-90, college: Long Beach St.) did not help to save the game for KKL. Guard Tai-Jie Wang (183-92) added 8 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending champion (3-5) moved-up to fifth place. KKL at the other side keeps the sixth position with six games lost. Taiwan Beer will play against bottom-ranked Bank of Taiwan (#7) in the next round. KKL will play against Dacin Tigers and hopes to get back on the winning track.
