Regular Season Round 9: Weert - Amsterdam 87-77

Another interesting game for Weert (1-8) which hosted 4th placed Amsterdam (5-4). Eighth ranked Weert had an easy win 87-77. The game without a history. Weert led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Amsterdam's 24 and made 23-of-28 charity shots (82.1 percent) during the game. Swingman Daan Rosenmuller (193-95) stepped up and scored 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and power forward Dyon Halman (204-94, agency: Court Side) chipped in 16 points and 11 rebounds. The best for the losing side was the former international swingman Dimeo Van Der Horst (197-91) with 20 points and 4 steals (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and forward Stefan Mulder (188-91) scored 17 points. Four Weert and five Amsterdam players scored in double figures. Amsterdam's coach Patrick Faydherbe rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Weert maintains eighth place with 1-8 record. Amsterdam at the other side keeps the fourth position with four games lost. Weert will play against league's leader Groningen on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Amsterdam will play against Rotterdam and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
