Regular Season Round 10: Pardinyes-L. - Cerdanyola 98-67

Very expected game when 13th ranked Cerdalyola (2-7) was smashed by first ranked Pardinyes-L. (7-2) in Lleida 98-67 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Pardinyes-L.. Cerdalyola was better in fourth quarter 21-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Pardinyes-L. dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Cerdalyola's 28. They outrebounded Cerdalyola 41-20 including a 31-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for Estonian Kregor Hermet (204-97) who helped to win the game recording 16 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Forward Javier Mendiburu (197-80) contributed with 8 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Swingman Eric Forne (194-88) replied with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Genis Tena (186-89) added 12 points and 5 assists in the effort for Cerdalyola. Four Cerdalyola players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Pardinyes-L. maintains first position in Group C-B with 7-2 record, which they share with Palma II and Quart. Newly promoted Cerdalyola dropped to the eleventh place with seven games lost. Pardinyes-L. will face Igualada (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Cerdalyola will play against Palma II and hope to win that game.
