Regular Season Round 10: Torrelodones - Estudiantes B 77-87

There was a small surprise when fourteenth ranked Estudiantes B (3-7) won against on the road 12th ranked Torrelodones (2-7) 87-77 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 87-77. Estudiantes B outrebounded Torrelodones 38-26 including 25 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for point guard Juan Llorente (180-93) who helped to win the game recording 40 points (!!!). Guard Diego Gonzalez (188-96) contributed with 20 points for the winners. French guard Kevin Cham (182-98, college: High School) replied with 27 points and Serbian center Almir Hadzisehovic (203-92, college: Alaska-Fairb.) added 16 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Torrelodones. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Estudiantes B moved-up to twelfth place in Group B. Torrelodones lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with seven games lost. Estudiantes B will face higher ranked Gran Canaria B (#8) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Torrelodones will play against Lanzarote (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
