The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Gorizont as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Gorizont smashed 4th ranked Sozh-GGU in Minsk 79-58. The game without a history. Gorizont led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Gorizont outrebounded Sozh-GGU 37-26 including 26 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Tatsiana Tsyruliova (168-88) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Nadzeya Nadzezhka (180-87) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Center Alesia Lalovich (188-79) replied with 16 points and 6 rebounds and guard Ekaterina Charikova (174-82) added 13 points and 5 assists in the effort for Sozh-GGU. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Tsmoki-Minsk. Sozh-GGU at the other side keeps the fourth place with four games lost. Sozh-GGU will play next round against BrGU COR Victoria trying to get back on the winning streak. Gorizont will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked Gorizont II. It will be extra interesting game as Gorizont II is their local rival from Minsk.
