Regular Season Round 10: Ardoi - Estela 61-73

The game between closely ranked teams ended with their biggest opponent Ardoi's (6-2) home loss to top-ranked Estela (8-0) in Zizur Mayor 61-73 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Estela. Ardoi was better in fourth quarter 19-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Ardoi to just 7 points in third quarter. It was a very good performance for American guard Riley Stockton (192-92, college: Seattle Pacific) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 8 rebounds. Pablo Sanchez (198-81) contributed with 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Estela players scored in double figures. Naturalized Ukrainian forward Anton Savitski (196-86) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and forward Inigo Campos (196-96) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Ardoi. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Estela have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group A-A with 8-0 record. Loser Ardoi keeps the second place with two games lost. Estela will face Burgos (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ardoi will play against Valladolid Univ. (#5) and hope to win that game.
