Regular Season Round 12: Boston College - New Crusaders 63-70

The game between Top Four teams took place in Santiago. One of their biggest challengers host Boston College (6-4) lost to third ranked New Crusaders (8-2) 70-63. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Boston College. New Crusaders dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Boston College's 28. They outrebounded Boston College 48-35 including a 38-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by the former international center Tatiana Gomez (192-81) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds and the former international guard Javiera Novion (170-87, college: Eckerd) supported her with 12 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists. Even a double-double of 20 points and 16 rebounds by Cuban center Arlenys Gonzalez (185-87) did not help to save the game for Boston College. Power forward Isabel Gonzalez (183-98) added 17 points and 6 rebounds. New Crusaders have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 8-2 record behind leader Sportiva Ita. Boston College at the other side keeps the fourth place with four games lost. New Crusaders will play against league's second-placed Univ.de Chile in Santiago in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Boston College's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Santiago to the arena Brisas.
