Regular Season Round 10: TAKE Tolosa - Venta de Banos 69-65

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 14th ranked Venta de Banos (1-7) lost on the road to fifteenth ranked TAKE Tolosa (1-7) 69-65 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 8 points after three quarters before their 21-9 charge, which allowed them to win the game. TAKE Tolosa forced 23 Venta de Banos turnovers. It was a very good performance for forward Jon Azaldegi (190-91) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!). Forward Benat Azaldegi (196-94) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. TAKE Tolosa's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Guard Daniel Manchon (191-98) replied with 23 points and 4 steals and American center Ronald Farmer-Blanchard (208-91, college: Wash.Adventist) added 8 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Venta de Banos. TAKE Tolosa left bottom position moving up to fourteenth place in Group A-A, which they share with defeated Venta de Banos. It was Venta de Banos' third loss in a row. TAKE Tolosa will face higher ranked Valle de Egues (#10) in Olaz in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
