Very important is a road loss of second ranked Grissin Bon RE (7-2) against eleventh ranked Brescia (4-5) on Sunday night. Visiting Grissin Bon RE was defeated by Brescia in a tough game in Brescia 88-93. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Grissin Bon RE. Brescia dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Grissin Bon RE's 34. It was a great shooting night for Brescia especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American forward Marcus Landry (201-85, college: Wisconsin) nailed 28 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) for the winning side and naturalized American forward Christian Burns (203-85, college: Philadelphia) accounted for 22 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Four Brescia players scored in double figures. The former international Pietro Aradori (194-88) came up with 23 points and 6 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and international Amedeo Della Valle (192-93, college: Ohio St., agency: BeoBasket) added 25 points respectively for Grissin Bon RE in the defeat. Brescia have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 4 other teams. Grissin Bon RE at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. They share it with Scandone AV. Brescia will play against higher ranked Juvecaserta (#5) in Caserta in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Grissin Bon RE will play at home against Betaland Cdo and hopes to get back on the winning track.
