Regular Season Round 11: Jilin NE T. - Qingdao E. 101-97

Everything could happen in Changchun at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked Jilin Tigers and 10th ranked Qingdao Eagles had identical 5-5 record. This time Jilin Tigers used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Qingdao 101-97. Strangely Qingdao Eagles outrebounded Jilin Tigers 57-45 including a 20-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. 26 personal fouls committed by Qingdao Eagles helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American players dominated also this game. The best player for the winners was forward Malcolm Thomas (206-88, college: San Diego St.) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points, 25 rebounds and 6 assists. Swingman Jabari Brown (193-92, college: Missouri) chipped in 30 points. Guard Dominique Jones (193-88, college: S.Florida) produced a double-double by scoring 43 points (!!!), 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and forward Jerrelle Benimon (203-91, college: Towson) added 11 points and 15 rebounds respectively for the guests. Qingdao Eagles' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Jilin Tigers (6-5) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Shandong FB. Qingdao Eagles lost their third game in a row. They keep the tenth position with six games lost. Jilin Tigers' next round opponent will be Bayi Rockets (#19) in Ningbo which should be an easy win for them. Qingdao Eagles will play on the road against Liaoning Hunters (#6) in Yingkou and hope to win that game.
