Regular Season Round 10: Kongsberg - Gimle BBK 98-67

Leader Kongsberg recorded the tenth victory. This time they crushed 5th ranked Gimle BBK (6-6) 98-67. The game without a history. Kongsberg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Kongsberg forced 22 Gimle BBK turnovers and outrebounded them 43-32 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Cuban-American guard Juan Ferrales (188-91, college: Barry) who helped to win the game recording 26 points, 8 assists and 4 steals. Croatian guard Tomislav Gabric (198-91, college: Ft.Hays State) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Five Kongsberg players scored in double figures. Swingman Magne Fivelstad (198-89, college: Barry) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Lars Espe (179-98) added 17 points and 4 assists in the effort for Gimle BBK. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kongsberg maintains first position with 10-2 record. Gimle BBK lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with six games lost. Kongsberg will play against Tromso (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Gimle BBK will play against Persbraten (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
