Regular Season Round 9: Rahoveci - Vellaznimi 80-76

The game between closely ranked teams ended with sixth ranked Rahoveci's (4-4) home victory over 7th ranked Vellaznimi (1-8) 80-76. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Vellaznimi won fourth quarter 19-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for point guard Muhamed Hasani (191-88, college: Rutgers) who led his team to a victory with 30 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Artin Gashi (202-93) contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Guard Arian Qallaku (195-92) answered with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds and forward Blendi Matoshi (196-94) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Vellaznimi. Rahoveci moved-up to fifth place. Vellaznimi lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with eight games lost. Rahoveci will play against Ylli (#6) in Suhareke in the next round. Vellaznimi will play at home against the league's leader Bashkimi to get more than just one victory in their record.
