There was a small surprise in Kutno where fifteenth ranked Stal Ostrow Wlkp. (3-6) defeated 13th ranked AZS Polfarmex (3-5) 80-72 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was Vincentian center Shawn King (208-82, college: ORU, agency: Pensack Sports) who scored 20 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). American point guard Aaron Johnson (173-88, college: UAB, agency: Two Points) chipped in 16 points and 8 assists. Four Stal Ostrow Wlkp. players scored in double figures. Stal Ostrow Wlkp.'s coach Emil Rajkovic used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international Dardan Berisha (191-88) produced 23 points and 4 assists and Belarusian power forward Maksim Salash (206-96) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Stal Ostrow Wlkp. moved-up to fourteenth place. AZS Polfarmex lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with five games lost. Stal Ostrow Wlkp. will face AZS Koszalin (#15) at home in the next round.
