Very important is a road loss of third ranked Roseto (6-3) against tenth ranked Mantova (5-4) on Sunday night. Visiting Roseto was defeated by Mantova in Mirandola 73-56. Mantova dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Roseto's 24. They outrebounded Roseto 41-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. The former international power forward Francesco Candussi (211-94) nailed a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and American LaMarshall Corbett (189-88, college: Angelo St.) accounted for 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Mantova's coach Alberto Martelossi allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The former international power forward Valerio Amoroso (204-80, agency: Interperformances) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Nicola Mei (186-85) added 12 points respectively for Roseto in the defeat. Four Roseto players scored in double figures. Mantova moved-up to seventh place in A2. Roseto at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Mantova will play against Piacenza (#8) in Casalpusterlengo in the next round. Roseto will play at home against Chieti (#13) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
