Regular Season Round 9: AZS AJP GW - Artego Bydg. 69-67

The most exciting game of round 9 in the TBLK took place in Gorzow Wlkp.. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked Artego Bydg. (5-4) to third ranked AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski (7-2) 69-67 on Sunday evening. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski forced 19 Artego Bydg. turnovers. The best player for the winners was Australian guard Stephanie Talbot (188-94) who scored 19 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. American forward Courtney Hurt (185-90, college: VCU) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Jamaican-American point guard Maurita Reid (172-85, college: Miami, FL) who recorded a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds and naturalized American center Charity Szczechowiak (191-85, college: SF Austin) added 8 points and 10 rebounds respectively. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski moved-up to second place, which they share with Sleza Wroclaw. Artego Bydg. at the other side keeps the sixth position with four games lost. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski is looking forward to face league's leader Wisla Can-Pack in Krakow in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Artego Bydg. will play on the road against MKK Siedlce (#11) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
