There was a minor upset when 7th ranked CCC Polkowice (4-5) was defeated at home by ninth ranked Basket Gdynia (3-6) 93-76. Basket Gdynia shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. American point guard Renee Montgomery (170-86, college: Connecticut, agency: LBM Management) nailed 37 points (!!!) and 4 assists for the winning side and Montenegrin guard Jelena Skerovic (176-80, agency: Josep and Nicolas) accounted for 14 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists. Four Basket Gdynia players scored in double figures. American center Isabelle Harrison (190-93, college: Tennessee) came up with 21 points and 8 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and Spanish point guard Mariona Ortiz (183-92) added 10 points and 12 assists respectively for CCC Polkowice in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for Basket Gdynia. They maintain ninth place with 3-6 record. CCC Polkowice lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the seventh position with five games lost. Basket Gdynia's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Widzew (#12) in Lodz.
